  • 1937 Born in Baghdad, Iraq.
  • 1964-1966 Appointed as designer at the Ministry of Education.
  • 1966-1990 Worked as an art teacher in various schools.
  • 1967 Obtained a High Diploma in Painting from the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad, Iraq. He also participated in the Students’ Joint Exhibition at the Institute in Baghdad.
  • 1968 Became a member of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association. In the same year, he participated in the Al-Bedayah Joint Exhibition in Baghdad.
  • 1968-1981 Participated in the Annual Exhibitions of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association, Baghdad, Iraq.
  • 1975 Received the Golden Medal at the 5th Fine Arts Arabic Exhibition, Paniala, Pakistan. He also participated in the 5th Fine Art Exhibition Biennial in Kuwait.
  • 1975-1977 Held various exhibitions in Paris, Moscow, Tokyo, Bonn, New York, and London.
  • 1976 Obtained a BA in Psychological and Educational Guidance from the Department of Psychology at the College of Arts, Al-Mustansiriya University, Baghdad.

  • 1979 Participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition, Italy.

  • 1985 Participated in the Near Eastern Artist International Exhibition, LA Artcore Gallery, Los Angeles, USA.
  • 1986 Obtained a PhD in Art Education at the School of Visual Arts and Dance, Florida State University, USA.

  • 1998 Attended and presented at a conference for ‘Culture, Environmental Differences Reflected in the Urban and Rural Elementary Schools in Baghdad’, at the Cultural Centre, Amman, Jordan.

- 1964-1966 عُين مصمماً في وزارة التربية.

- 1967 حصل على دبلوم عالي في الرسم من معهد الفنون الجميلة في بغداد، وشارك في معرض مشترك للطلبة في المعهد.

- 1979 شارك في معرض الفن العراقي المعاصر في إيطاليا.

- 1983 حصل على شهادة الماجستير في الرسم من جامعة كاليفورنيا في لوس أنجلوس، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. كما شارك في أول معرض عراقي في كلية اللغة الإنجليزية في سان دييغو، كاليفورنيا، وشارك في عدة معارض أخرى في كاليفورنيا مثل معرض أعمال طلبة الماجستير في كلية الفنون بجامعة كاليفورنيا، ومعرض الألوان المائية في غاليري "براند" في لوس أنجلوس.

- 1984 شارك في معرض أعمال طلبة ماجستير الفنون في كلية الفنون بجامعة ولاية كاليفورنيا، وشارك أيضاً في معرض في غاليري "آرت كور" في لوس أنجلوس، كاليفورنيا.
