- 1925 Born in Baghdad.
- Studied the arts in Iraqi schools, obtained a diploma in sculpture from the Beaux Arts in Paris-France in 1958.
- Had early attempts in painting, in the period of the forties and fifties.
- Participated as a founding member of the Baghdad Group for Modern Art since 1951, in most of its exhibitions.
- From the end of the fifties and sixties to the seventies, he held position as professor of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad, along with Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani, Mohammed Ghani Hikmat, Saleh Al-Qara Ghuli, and Ismail Fattah.
- 1962 – 1969 Held four personal exhibitions of sculpture in Baghdad.
- Sculpted many monuments, including the Fountain in Abi Nawas Street, the Al-Kindi statue in Al-Wahda Park, and the “Christ’s Torment” was carved in the St. Thomas Church.
- Married a French woman who accompanied him to Baghdad, and he worked in sculpture for many years in Baghdad.
- Immigrated with his wife to France to settle there until his death.
