1935 Born in Hillah and raised in the city of Kadhimiya in Baghdad.
Studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Kasra, in morning and evening shifts. His teachers were the artists Jewad Selim, Ata Sabri, Faik Hassan, and Faraj Abbo. Jewad was the one who sponsored and encouraged him to study sculpture and ceramics in the evening shift.
1957 Delegated to Italy to study fine arts at the Royal Academy of Arts in Rome.
1960 Participated in the casting of the Freedom Monument with the late Jewad Selim in Florence, Italy. He worked with other Iraqi sculptors to finish the monument after Jewad Selim's death and to install it in Tahrir Square, Baghdad.
1959-1960 Participated in several art exhibitions during his studies in Rome, including a joint exhibition of Iraqi artists, which they held in one of the galleries in Rome. He studied marble sculpting in Carrara, Italy.
1961 Graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts in Rome, Department of Sculpture.
1963 Studied wood carving in West Germany.
1964 Returned to Iraq and was nominated to teach sculpture at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1965-1991 Taught sculpting on wood and marble at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1971 Participated in the Iraqi Art Exhibition at the Media Club in Baghdad.
1972 Became a member of the Pioneers Group.
1976-1986 Taught wood and marble sculpting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
1980 Participated in the Arab Artists Exhibition in Rome and the Iraqi Art Exhibition in Moscow, where he executed 5 large wooden murals, measuring 3x2 meters.
1991 Retired and devoted himself to art, working in his own studio.
Member of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association.
Member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate.
Member of the National Committee for Fine Arts.
He presented many significant works, most notably his implementation of the 1st phase of Iraqi heritage scenes at the Baghdadi Museum. Additionally, he created a variety of remarkable sculptural pieces, ranging from abstract to portrait forms, which were exhibited in numerous art exhibitions both within Iraq and internationally.
Created two sculptural works for Dr. Mohammed Mahdi Al-Basir and Professor Jewad Al-Taher.

− درس في معهد الفنون الجميلة في الكسرة بدوامين صباحي ومسائي وكان من أساتذته الفنانون جواد سليم وعطا صبري وفائق حسن وفرج عبو، وكان الفنان جواد سليم هو من رعاه وشجّعه على دراسة النحت والخزف في الدوام المسائي.

− 1957 أُوفد إلى إيطاليا لدراسة الفنون التشكيلية في أكاديمية الفنون الملكية في روما.

− 1960 شارك في مراحل صبّ منحوتات نُصب الحرية مع الراحل الكبير جواد سليم في فلورنس في إيطاليا وساهم مع نحاتين عراقيين آخرين على إكمال النصب بعد وفاة جواد سليم ونصبه في ساحة التحرير في بغداد.

− 1959-1960 له بعض المشاركات الفنية أثناء دراسته في روما منها معرض مشترك للفنانين العراقيين أقاموه في أحد قاعات العرض في روما. درس النحت على المرمر في كرارا في إيطاليا.

− 1961 تخرّج من أكاديمية الفنون الملكية في روما، فرع النحت.

− 1963 درس النحت على الخشب في ألمانيا الغربية.

− 1964 عاد إلى العراق ورُشّح لتدريس مادة النحت في معهد الفنون الجميلة في بغداد.

− 1965-1991 عمل مدرّساً لمادة النحت على الخشب والمرمر في معهد الفنون الجميلة في بغداد.

− 1971 شارك في معرض الفن العراقي في نادي الإعلام في بغداد.

− 1972 أصبح عضواً في جماعة الرواد.

− 1976-1986 عمل مدرّساً لمادة النحت على الخشب والمرمر في أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في بغداد.

− 1980 شارك في معرض الفنانين العرب في روما ومعرض الفن العراقي في موسكو حيث نفّذ فيها خمس جداريات كبيرة بمادة الخشب قياس 3*2 متر.

− 1991 أُحيل إلى التقاعد وتفرّغ للعمل الفني في مشغله الشخصي.

− عضو في جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين.

− عضو في نقابة الفنانين العراقيين.

− عضو في اللجنة الوطنية للفنون التشكيلية.

− قدم العديد من الأعمال الكبيرة والمهمة من أبرزها تنفيذه المرحلة الأولى من مَشاهد التراث العراقي للمتحف البغدادي، وغيرها من الأعمال النحتية الرائعة التي تتنوّع بين الأعمال التجريدية والبورتورية والتي شاركت في عدد من المعارض الفنية في خارج العراق وداخله.

− نفّذَ عملين نحتيين للدكتور محمد مهدي البصير والأستاذ جواد الطاهر.
