1956 Artist Ayad Al Husseini was born in Mosul, Iraq.
1963 - 1973 He completed his elementary, middle and High school studies in Mosul.
1976 - 1980 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a BA in Graphic Design.
1977 He obtained a certificate of excellence from the calligrapher Yousef Tha’anoon in Arabic calligraphy in the city of Mosul and the calligrapher Hamid Al-Amdi in Istanbul, Turkey. He held his first solo exhibition in the Eastern Preparatory School in Mosul.
1979 He obtained a certificate of Excellence from the calligrapher Sayed Ibrahim in Arabic Calligraphy in Cairo, Egypt.
1980 He held his second solo exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
1984 He won first prize for designing a political poster for Iraqi artists in Baghdad.
1985 He won first prize in designing a political poster for Iraqi artists in Baghdad.
1986 He held his third solo exhibition at Al-Riwaq Hall in Baghdad and won the third international prize in the International Competition for the Design of a Political Poster.
1988 He obtained a Master’s Degree in Print Design from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
1994 He held his fourth solo exhibition in the Art Department in Baghdad and participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Festival and won the first prize for sculpture.
1996 He received a PhD in Philosophy of Print Design from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and held his fifth solo exhibition at the Department of Arts in Baghdad.
2000 He held his sixth solo exhibition at the Art Department in Baghdad.
2003 - 2006 He was appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Academic Journal at the University of Baghdad.
2006 He was chosen as a member of the arbitration committee of the Sharjah International Biennale for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy in Sharjah, UAE.
2008 He was chosen as a member of the arbitration committee of the Sharjah International Biennale for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy in Sharjah, UAE.
2009 – 2014 He was appointed Professor of Design Philosophy at the College of Engineering at Dhofar University and Deputy Board of Trustees at the American University in the Sultanate of Oman.
2010 He participated in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and won the Sheikh Zayed Book Award for his book "The Art of Design - Art, Theory, and Design".
He is the author of many technical and critical books and published many technical papers.
He was a former professor and dean of the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
He works full time art in the United Arab Emirates.

1956 وُلد الفنان اياد الحسيني في مدينة الموصل، العراق.
1963 - 1973 أكمل دراسته المدرسية للابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية في الموصل.
1976 – 1980 درس وتخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وحاز على شهادة البكالوريوس في التصميم الطباعي.
1977 حاز على شهادة تفوق من الخطاط يوسف ذنون في الخط العربي في مدينة الموصل ومن الخطاط حامد الامدي في اسطنبول، تركيا واقام معرضه الشخصي الاول في الإعدادية الشرقية في الموصل.
1979 حاز على شهادة تفوق من الخطاط سيد إبراهيم في الخط العربي في القاهـرة، مصر.
1980 اقام معرضه الشخصي الثاني في اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
1984 فاز بالجائزة الأولى في تصميم الملصق السياسي للفنانين العراقيين في بغداد.
1985 فاز بالجائزة الأولى في تصميم الملصق السياسي للفنانين العراقيين في بغداد.
1986 اقام معرضه الشخصي الثالث على قاعة الرواق في بغداد وفاز بالجائزة العالمية الثالثة في المسابقة الدولية لتصميم الملصق السياسي.
1988 حاز على شهادة الماجستير في التصميم الطباعي من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
1994 اقام معرضه الشخصي الرابع في دائرة الفنون في بغداد واشترك في مهرجان الفن العراقي المعاصر وفاز بالجائزة الأولى للنحت.
1996 حاز على شهادة الدكتوراه في فلسفة التصميم الطباعي من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد واقام معرضه الشخصي الخامس في دائرة الفنون في بغداد.
2000 اقام معرضه الشخصي السادس في دائرة الفنون في بغداد.
2003 – 2006 تم تعيينه رئيس تحرير لمجلة الاكاديمي العلمية في جامعة بغداد.
2006 أختير عضو في اللجنة التحكيمية في بينالي الشارقة الدولي لفن الخط العربي في الشارقة، الامارات.
2008 أختير عضو في اللجنة التحكيمية في بينالي الشارقة الدولي لفن الخط العربي في الشارقة، الامارات.
2009 - 2014 تم تعيينه استاذ فلسفة التصميم في كلية الهندسة في جامعة ظفار ونائب مجلس الأمناء في الجامعة الاميركية في سلطنة عمان.
2010 اشترك في معرض أبو ظبي الدولي للكتاب وفاز بجائزة الشيخ زايد للكتاب عن كتابه "فن التصميم – الفن، النظرية، التصميم".
ألف العديد من الكتب الفنية والنقدية وأصدر الكثير من البحوث الفنية.
كان يعمل استاذ وعميد سابق لاكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
يعمل متفرغاً للفن في الأمارات العربية المتحدة.
عضو في جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين.
