1935 Artist Saad Al-Tai was born in the Al-Wardia neighborhood, the city of Hilla in Iraq.
1941 He began to paint at the age of six of what he saw on his trips with his father to the countryside and agricultural fields, and his teachers encouraged him to draw more to develop his talent.
At the end of 1952, at the age of seventeen years, he traveled to Beirut, heading to Italy, to begin his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, joining his friends, the artists Khaled Al-Rahhal and Faraj Abbo, and then Muhammad Ghani Hikmat.
1955 He won the Italian Landscape as Seen by Foreign Artists Award in Italy.
1956 He participated in an exhibition with the sculptors Khaled Al-Rahhal and Muhammad Ghani Hikmat in Italy.
1957 He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and obtained a master's degree. Then, he returned to Baghdad.
1958 He participated in Baghdad for Painting and Sculpture Exhibition in Al-Mansour Club and exhibited two works, after which he participated in the exhibition of the Revolution at the Hall of the Republic Sports Club. Two of his works were exhibited in it.
1959 He won the Italy Prize for Arts.
1965 He participated in the Itinerant Iraqi Art Exhibition in Europe with the artist Hafidh Al-Droubi.

1971 He participated in the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in cooperation with the Iraqi Artists Association in Kuwait.

He has authored numerous books and curricula for teaching plastic arts.

1935 ولد الفنان سعد الطائي في -محلة الوردية مدينة الحلة في العراق.
1941 بدأ يرسم بعمر الستة اعوام لما كان يراه في رحلاته مع والده الى الريف والحقول الزراعية وكان معلمه في الصف الاول الابتدائي يعطيه ألوان ملونة ليرسم ويلون فيها.
أواخر عام 1952 وبعمر السابعة عشر، سافر الى بيروت متجهاً الى ايطاليا ليبدأ دراسته في أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في روما وكان كل من الفنانين خالد الرحال وفرج عبو وبعدها محمد غني حكمت مبتعثين من قبل الحكومة لدراسة الفن في نفس الاكاديمية.
1955 حاز على جائزة "المنظر الإيطالي" كما يراه الفنانون الاجانب في إيطاليا.
1956 اشترك في معرض مع النحاتين خالد الرحال ومحمد غني حكمت في إيطاليا.
1957 تخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في روما وحاز على شهادة الماجستير منها. ثم عاد الى بغداد.
