20 August 1951 Artist Husam Abd Al-Muhsen was born in the capital, Baghdad, Iraq.
1958 - 1968 He completed his primary, middle and High school studies.
1972 - 1976 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a diploma.
1976 He participated in the third April art exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1977 He participated in the fourth April art exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1978 He participated in the fifth April art exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1978 - 1981 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a Bachelor's degree.
1986 - 1988 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a master's degree in plastic arts. Then he have been assigned as a teacher and researcher in fine arts in the University of Baghdad.
2000 He held a solo exhibition entitled "A Cold Autumn" at the Tigris Hall in Baghdad.
2003-2011 He was appointed Secretary of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2005 He obtained the title of professor at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
2015 He participated in the exhibition "Beirut - Baghdad ... A Message of Love" at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut, Lebanon.
2016 He held a solo exhibition of minitures entitled "I, the Moon and the Rain" at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad. He participated in the retrospective annual exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad and the "Iraqi Painters" exhibition by the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association and the Lebanese Artists Association for Painting and Sculpture in Beirut.
2017 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Maqamat" at Zaman Hall in Beirut, Lebanon, and participated in the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2018 He participated in the "Art of Words" exhibition and a workshop of Arab women artists in Istanbul.
He lives and works as a professor of fine arts in the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
Member of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association.

20 اغسطس 1951 وُلد الفنان حسام عبد المحسن في محافظة ميسان، العراق.
1958 - 1968 أكمل دراسته المدرسية للابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية.
1972 – 1976 درس وتخرج من معهد الفنون الجميلة في بغداد وحاز على شهادة الدبلوم.
1976 اشترك في معرض نيسان الثالث في المتحف الوطني للفن الحديث في بغداد.
1977 اشترك في معرض نيسان الرابع في المتحف الوطني للفن الحديث في بغداد.
1978 اشترك في معرض نيسان الخامس في المتحف الوطني للفن الحديث في بغداد.
1978 - 1981 درس وتخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وحاز على شهادة البكالوريوس.
1986 - 1988 درس وتخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وحاز على شهادة الماجستير في الفنون التشكيلية. واصبح أستاذا تدريسيا وباحثا في الفنون التشكيلية في الجامعة.
2000 اقام معرض شخصي بعنوان "ذات خريف بارد" على قاعة دجلة في بغداد.
2003 – 2011 تم تعيينه أمين سر جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في بغداد.
2005 حصل على لقب بروفيسور في اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
2015 اشترك في معرض "بيروت ـ بغداد… رسالة محبّة" في قصر اليونيسكو في بيروت، لبنان.
2016 اقام معرض شخصي للمصغرات بعنوان "انا والبدر والمطر" على قاعة حوار في بغداد واشترك في المعرض السنوي الشامل في جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في بغداد ومعرض "رسامون عراقيون" لجمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين وجمعية الفنانين اللبنانيين للرسم والنحت في بيروت.
2017 اقام معرض شخصي بعنوان "مقامات" على قاعة زمان في بيروت، لبنان واشترك في المعرض السنوي لجمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في بغداد.
2018 اشترك في معرض فن الكلمات وورشة عمل محترَفات عربية في اسطنبول.
يسكن ومتفرغاً للفن وأستاذ مدرس في اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
عضو جمعية التشكيليين العراقيين.
