1963 Artist Ali Risan was born in the capital, Baghdad, Iraq.
1970 - 1980 He completed his primary, middle and high school studies in Baghdad.
1984 - 1988 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a BA in sculpture.
1985 He participated in the first exhibition of the International Association of Fine Arts in Baghdad.

2014 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Bronze Sculptures" at the College of Fine Arts in Wasit and participated in the Plastic Art Festival marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Communist Party at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad.
2015 He participated in the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2017 He participated in the Iraqi sculpture exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2018 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Colorful Faces" at the College of Fine Arts in Wasit and participated in the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
2019 He participated in the Iraqi sculpture exhibition at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad, and the annual exhibition of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in Baghdad.
He lives in the city of Kut, Wasit Governorate, Iraq and teaches sculpture at the College of Fine Arts at Wasit University.

2009 اقام معرض شخصي بعنوان "كرسي" على قاعة مدارات في بغداد.
2011 حاز على شهادة الماجستير في النحت الملون من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
2014 اقام معرض شخصي بعنوان "منحوتات برونزية" في كلية الفنون الجميلة في واسط واشترك في مهرجان الفن التشكيلي في ذكرى 80 عام لتأسيس الحزب الشيوعي العراقي على قاعة حوار في بغداد.
2015 اشترك في المعرض السنوي لجمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في بغداد.
2017 اشترك في معرض النحت العراقي في جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في بغداد.
2018 اقام معرض شخصي بعنوان "وجوه ملونة" في كلية الفنون الجميلة في واسط واشترك في المعرض السنوي لجمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في بغداد.

يسكن في مدينة الكوت في محافظة الواسط، العراق، ويعمل مدرساً في النحت في كلية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة واسط.
