1958 Born in Dhi Qar province, Iraq.
1965 - 1975 Completed her elementary, middle and high school studies in Baghdad’s schools.
1975 - 1979 Studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad, and obtained a diploma in Graphic Art.
1984 - 1988 Studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, and obtained a BA in Painting.
1987 Held her first solo exhibition at Al-Riwaq Hall, Baghdad.
1988 Participated in the retrospective exhibition of sketches at Al-Rasheed Hall, Baghdad.
1991 Held her second solo exhibition at the Arts Center, Baghdad. She also participated in an anthology exhibition of contemporary Iraqi art at the Arts Center and the eighth Al-Wasiti Festival, Baghdad.
1992 Participated in the Mahres Festival, ‘New Experiences in Contemporary Fine Art’, Tunis.
1993 Held her third solo exhibition entitled ‘Baghdad: Geography, People and Signs’ at the Arts Center, Baghdad.
1994 Held her fourth solo exhibition, entitled ‘Pursuing the Trace’, at Nadhar hall, Baghdad, and participated in the exhibition of the One Dimension Group at Abaad Hall, Amman.
1995 Held her fifth solo exhibition entitled ‘Pursuing the Trace’ at Abaad Hall, Amman, and participated in the Autumn Exhibition at Hewar Hall, Baghdad.
1996 Held her sixth solo exhibition entitled ‘Icon of Environment’ at the Hewar Hall, Baghdad, and participated in the exhibition ‘Artists as Critics’ at Hewar Hall, Baghdad, the Youth exhibition at Hewar Hall, Baghdad, the One Dimension Group exhibition at the Abaad Hall, Amman, and an anthology exhibition of contemporary Iraqi art in Riwaq Risan, Baghdad, and Gallery of Contemporary Iraqi Art at Athar Gallery, Baghdad.
1997 Participated in the exhibition ‘The Environment of Iraqi Art’ at the Jordanian National Museum, Amman.
1998 Held her seventh solo exhibition entitled ‘Schedules and Signals’ at Athar Gallery, Baghdad, and participated in the exhibition ‘Spaces in Adventure and Experimentation’ at Baghdad Hall, Baghdad.
1999 Held her eighth solo exhibition of drawings at Athar Gallery, Baghdad.
2000 Obtained a master's degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and participated in the exhibition ‘Significance of Experimentation’ at the Baghdad Hall, Baghdad, and the Iraqi Art exhibition at the Institute of the Arab World, Paris, and a joint exhibition with artists Ghassan Ghaeb and Kareem Risan at Athar Hall, Baghdad, and the exhibition ‘Strokes of Genius: Contemporary Iraqi Art’ at the Brunei Gallery, London.
2002 Held her ninth solo exhibition at Dar Al Anda, Amman, and participated in the Iraqi Art Exhibition, China, the Baghdad International Festival for Fine Art, and the Arab Creative Women Conference, Tunis.
2003 Participated in the exhibition ‘Iraq: Before, After, Now’ at the Deluxe Gallery, London, the exhibition ‘Women Artists from the Islamic World’ in Spain and France, and the exhibition ‘Tawashyjat: Between Poet and Artists’ at the Royal Jordanian Museum, Amman, and the ‘Expressions of Hope’ exhibition in Aya Gallery, London.
2004 Participated in the exhibition ‘Greetings to Shakir Hassan Al Said’ at the Orfali Hall, Amman, the exhibition ‘Artists' Books, Ten Iraqi Artists, the World Book Fair’, Frankfurt, Germany, and the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition, Dubai, UAE.
2005 Obtained a PhD in Philosophy of Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, and her thesis topic was ‘Logical Order in Ancient Mesopotamian Painting’ and she held her tenth solo exhibition at Dar Al Anda, Amman. She also participated in the Iraqi art exhibition at the East West Foundation, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and the exhibition ‘Homage to Shakir Hassan Al Said’, and ‘Homage to Ismail Fattah’ at Athar Hall, Baghdad, and a joint exhibition with artists Ghassan Ghaeb and Kareem Risan in Athar Hall, Baghdad, and the Book Art exhibition Contemporary Iraqi at the College of Texas, USA, and the Contemporary Iraqi Exhibition, Paris.
She taught at the Institute of Fine Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad before leaving Iraq.
2006 Held her eleventh solo exhibition at Al-Bareh Gallery, Bahrain, and traveled to France for a short period, where she was given a fellowship.
2007 Participated in the exhibition ‘The Red Zone, the Green Zone’, Gemak Den Haag, the Netherlands, and the exhibition ‘Sophisticated Ways: Destruction of an Ancient City’ at Aya Gallery, London, and decided to settle down and live in London.
2008 Obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Islamic and Modern Art from the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London, and she studied in the Department of Arts and Archeology and obtained a degree in Academic English for Reading and Writing and gave a seminar entitled ‘Ruins Technique in Contemporary Iraqi Art’. She also participated in the exhibition ‘Iraq’s Past Speaks to the Present’ at the British Museum, London, and the exhibition ‘Iraqi Artist in Exile’ at Station Museum, USA.
2009 Held her twelfth solo exhibition, entitled ‘Vivid Ruins’, at Mosaic Rooms, London, and participated in ‘The Recessionists’ exhibition, Somerset, England, and the ‘Modernism and Iraq’ exhibition at Wallach Art Gallery at Columbia University, New York, USA.
2010 Participated in the exhibition ‘Art in Iraq Today’ at Meem Gallery, Dubai, and the exhibition ‘Beyond War’ at LTMH Gallery, New York.
2011 Participated in the Swiss Re (Gherkin) exhibition, London, the Barjeel Art Foundation exhibition, Sharjah, UAE, the exhibition ‘Art in Iraq Today’ at Meem Gallery, Dubai, and the exhibition ‘Art in Iraq Today’ at the Beirut Exhibition Center, Beirut.
2012 Held her thirteenth solo exhibition at Inception Gallery, Paris, and participated in the exhibition ‘Iraq: How, Where, for Whom?’ at Mosaic Rooms, London, and was awarded a fellowship at Chelsea College of Art, London.
2013 Held her fourteenth solo exhibition at Park Gallery, London, and participated in an exhibition at Meem Gallery, Dubai, ‘Contemporary Art Platform’, Kuwait, and ‘Ten Years After: Reflections on the Invasion of Iraq’ exhibition at the Chelsea College of Art and Design at the University of London, London.
2014 Held her fifteenth solo exhibition of her works on paper at Park Gallery, London, and participated in the exhibition ‘Reflections of War’, London, and an exhibition ‘A Tribute to Rafa Nasiri’ at Nabha Hall, Amman.
2016 Held her sixteenth solo exhibition ‘Biohazard’, London, and participated in the exhibition ‘Art in Motion’, Beirut, and ‘Biohazard’, Baghdad.
2017 Held her seventeenth solo exhibition entitled ‘Drone Hits Ziggurat of Ur’ at Al-Riwaq Art Gallery, Bahrain, and participated in the Bahrain National Museum exhibition and the ‘Arabesque’ exhibition curated by the artist at the Royal University for Women in Bahrain and the ‘Role in Empowering Women’ exhibition in The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, Amman, and ‘A Thread of Light’ exhibition at P21 Gallery, London.
2018 Held her eighteenth solo exhibition entitled ‘Without Name, But, Numbers’ at Al-Bareh Gallery, Bahrain, and participated in the ‘Baghdad Mon Amour’ exhibition at the Islamic Cultural Institute, Paris.
2019 Participated in the exhibition ‘The Spirit of the Poet’, Germany, and the exhibition ‘Theater of Operations: The Gulf Wars 1991-2011’ at the Museum of Modern Art ‘MoMA PS1’, New York, USA, and the exhibition ‘Refuge and Renewal: Migration and British Art’, Bristol, United Kingdom.
She currently lives and dedicates her full-time to art in London, UK.

- 2002 أقامت معرضها الشخصي التاسع في دار الأندى في عمان واشتركت في معرض الفن العراقي في الصين ومهرجان بغداد العالمي للفن التشكيلي ومؤتمر المبدعات العربيات، تونس.

- 2003 اشتركت في معرض "العراق: قبل، بعد، الآن" في كَاليري ديلوكس في لندن ومعرض "فنانات من العالم الإسلامي" في إسبانيا وباريس في فرنسا ومعرض "التواشوجات: بين الشاعر والفنانين" في المتحف الملكي الأردني في عمان ومعرض "تعابير الأمل" في الكَاليري آية، لندن.

- 2004 اشتركت في معرض "تحية إلى شاكر حسن آل سعيد" على قاعة الأورفلي في عمان ومعرض "دفاتر الفنانين، عشرة فنانين عراقيين، معرض الكتاب العالمي" في فرانكفورت في ألمانيا ومعرض الفن العراقي المعاصر في دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة.

- 2005 حازت على شهادة الدكتوراه في فلسفة الرسم من أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وكان موضوع رسالتها "الترتيب المنطقي في الرسم القديم لبلاد الرافدين" وأقامت عاشر معرض شخصي في دار الأندى في عمان. اشتركت في معرض الفن العراقي في مؤسسة شرق غرب في أمستردام، هولندا، ومعرض "تحية إلى شاكر حسن آل سعيد، تحية إلى إسماعيل فتاح" على قاعة أثر للفنون في بغداد ومعرض مشترك مع الفنانين غسان غائب وكريم رسن على قاعة أثر في بغداد ومعرض "فن الكتاب العراقي المعاصر" في كلية تكساس، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والمعرض العراقي المعاصر، باريس. - دَرّسَت في معهد الفنون الجميلة وأكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في بغداد قبل مغادرتها العراق.

- 2006 أقامت معرضها الشخصي الحادي عشر في كَاليري البارح في البحرين وسافرت إلى فرنسا لفترة قصيرة حيث تم منحها زمالة هناك.

- 2007 اشتركت في معرض "المنطقة الحمراء المنطقة الخضراء" في جيماك دين هاج في هولندا ومعرض "طرق متطورة: تدمير المدينة القديمة" في كَاليري آية في لندن وقررت الاستقرار والسكن في لندن.

- 2008 حازت على شهادة الدراسات العليا في الفن الإسلامي والحديث من مدرسة الدراسات الشرقية والإفريقية التابعة لجامعة لندن ودرست في قسم الفنون والآثار ونالت شهادة في اللغة الإنجليزية الأكاديمية للقراءة والكتابة وقدمت ندوة بعنوان "تقنية الآثار في الفن العراقي المعاصر". اشتركت في معرض "ماضي العراق يخاطب الحاضر" في المتحف البريطاني في لندن ومعرض "فنان عراقي في المنفى" متحف المحطة، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

- 2009 أقامت معرضها الشخصي الثاني عشر بعنوان "أطلال حيّة" في موزايك رومز في لندن واشتركت في معرض "الكسادون" في سومرست في إنكلترا ومعرض "الحداثة والعراق" في كَاليري والاش للفنون في جامعة كولومبيا في نيويورك، الولايات المتحدة الامريكية.

- 2010 اشتركت في معرض "الفن في العراق اليوم" في ميم كَاليري في دبي ومعرض "ما وراء الحرب" في كَاليري LTMH، نيويورك.

- 2011 اشتركت في معرض سويس ري في لندن ومعرض مؤسسة برجيل للفنون في الشارقة ومعرض "الفن في العراق اليوم" في ميم كَاليري في دبي ومعرض "الفن في العراق اليوم" في مركز بيروت للمعارض، بيروت.

- 2016 أقامت معرضها الشخصي السادس عشر بعنوان "بايوهزارد" في لندن واشتركت في معرض "الفن في الحركة" في بيروت ومعرض "بايوهزارد"، بغداد.
