1945 Born in Al-Karkh, Baghdad, Iraq. He had an early talent for sculpture on stone.
1974 - 2001 Worked as Storekeeper of the Museum Collection at the Art Center. He received several courses in the maintenance and restoration of artworks by European experts in Baghdad, within the framework of cultural cooperation agreements between Iraq, Italy, France, and others.
The Founder and head of the Restoration Division at the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art, at the Gulbenkian Building in Baghdad, since the seventies. He worked closely with Nazar Selim, Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani, and Ismail Al-Chekhli, who managed the Arts Department in the Ministry of Culture in Iraq. He then worked with the artist Layla Al-Attar, who was the manager of the Art Center, and with the artist Amer Al-Obaidi when he was the director of the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1974 Participated in the Al-Wasiti art symposium with some of his sculptures.
1980 Held his first solo sculpture exhibition.
1980 Received an intense training course for artworks maintenance and restoration under the supervision of Italian experts at the ‘Regional Center for Restoration of Cultural Property’.
1983 Received an intense training course in a textile maintenance course at the ‘Regional Center for Restoration of Cultural Property’.
He is an expert with fifty years of experience in Iraqi artworks owned by government institutions, and has worked with many entities to examine and document the artworks.
He is also an expert in examining and documenting artworks at the Iraqi Fine Artists Association. He worked in dozens of governmental committees and had opinions about many issues related to the artworks of the pioneers and the sixties generation artists.
He currently lives in the Al-Jihad neighborhood in Baghdad. He works in his studio within the building of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association in the Al-Mansour district in Baghdad.

- 1945 وُلد في جانب الكرخ في بغداد – العراق. وبدأت موهبته الفطرية في ممارسة فن النحت على الحجر مبكراً.

- 1974 – 2001 عمل مسؤولاً عن مخازن وأمين المجموعة المتحفية في مركز الفنون في بغداد. وتلقى عدة دورات في صيانة وترميم الأعمال الفنية على أيدي خبراء أوربيين في بغداد ضمن اتفاقيات التعاون الثقافي بين العراق وإيطاليا وفرنسا وغيرها.

- أسس وأصبح مسؤول قسم الصيانة والترميم في متحف الفن الحديث في مبنى كولبنكيان منذ السبعينات. وعمل من خلال موقعه هذا مع الإدارات التي استلمت إدارة دائرة الفنون مثل نزار سليم، عبد الرحمن الكيلاني واسماعيل الشيخلي. ثمّ عمل مع الفنانة ليلى العطار التي أدارت مركز الفنون ومع الفنان عامر العبيدي عندما كان مديراً للمتحف الوطني للفن الحديث في بغداد.

- 1974 شارك في معرض الواسطي بأعمال نحتية من اشتغالاته.

- 1980 أقام معرضه الشخصي الأول للنحت.

- 1980 شارك في دورة لصيانة لوحات الرسم بإشراف خبراء إيطاليين “المركز الإقليمي لصيانة الممتلكات الثقافية”.

- 1983 شارك في دورة لصيانة المنسوجات “المركز الإقليمي لصيانة الممتلكات الثقافية”.

- خبير لمدة خمسين عاماً في أصالة وسلامة الأعمال الفنية العراقية المملوكة للمؤسسات الحكومية وعمل مع العديد من الجهات العامة والخاصة لفحص وتوثيق الأعمال.

- خبير فحص وتوثيق الأعمال الفنية في جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين وعمل في عشرات اللجان الحكومية ونظر في المواضيع الخاصة بالأعمال الفنية للفنانين الرواد وفناني جيل الستينات.

- يسكن في حي الجهاد في بغداد ويعمل في استوديو خاص به ضمن مبنى جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في المنصور.
