December 15, 1960 Artist Jalal Alwan was born in Camp Al-Kaylani area in Baghdad, Iraq.
1967 - 1977 He completed his elementary, middle and high school studies in Baghdad.
1984 - 1988 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a degree in ceramics.
He left Iraq immigrating to Holland at the middle of nineties.
1995 He held a solo exhibition at the Gallery Cadre Leeuwaarden, Netherlands.
1997 He participated in the ICO Galerie Assen, the Mondiale Kunstuitleen in Maastricht, the Stadhuis Weert exhibition in the Netherlands, and an exhibition at the Babel Art Gallery in France.
1998 He participated in the Oosterhout “ALL ART” exhibition in the Netherlands.
2000 He held a solo exhibition at CC Heist-O/D-berg in Antwerp, Belgium and participated in Delft World Art in the Netherlands, Bonheiden exhibition, Bornem exhibition, Puurs exhibition and Willebroek exhibition in Antwerp, Belgium.
2001 He held a solo exhibition at the Tres Gallery of Art in Breda and Zevenbergen, Netherlands and participated in the exhibition at the Art Center in Groningen, Netherlands.
2001 - 2009 He participated in the annual organization exhibition "Kunst Op de Koekoek" in Etten-Leur, Netherlands.
2002 He participated in the Museon exhibition in The Hague, Netherlands, and the Breda "Topolis" exhibition in the Netherlands.
2002 - 2003 He participated in the exhibition "Theo kuipers & Tres Art" in Kaatsheuvel and Breda, Netherlands.
2004 He participated in an exhibition at the Rotterdam International Museum in the Netherlands.
2006 He held a solo exhibition at Tres Art Gallery in Breda and Zevenbergen, the Netherlands, and participated in the 10th Cairo International Biennale in Egypt.
2007 He participated in an exhibition of Galerie De Pekhoeve in Ulvenhout, Netherlands.
2008 - 2011 He participated in the exhibition of Kunstgalerie De Laro in Meerle, Belgium.
2009 He held a solo exhibition at Gallery Deja Vu in Son, Netherlands, and a solo exhibition at Gee'71 Gallery in Geervliet, Netherlands and participated in the exhibition of Artijean Gallery in Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands.
2011 He participated in the exhibition "Art Traverse" in Bilthoven, Netherlands.
2012 He completed his studies in contemporary visual arts at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, Netherlands and participated in the Royal Academy of Arts graduate exhibition in The Hague and the art exhibition "Master Furniture: Art and Design" in Turnhout, Belgium. He also lectured at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
2013 - 2015 He worked as a curator at the Iraqi Cultural Center in London, where he supervised the ideas of art admirers and transformed them into their own artworks.
2014 He participated in the exhibition "Souk! Contemporary Art from the Arab World" in Amsterdam, Netherlands and the exhibition "Crudification" at P21 Gallery in London, United Kingdom.
2015 He participated in the Jubilee exhibition "The Choice of Anne Burke" in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and an exhibition at the Nottingham Art Association in the United Kingdom. He also lectured at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
2017 He participated in the annual art exhibition of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association in London, United Kingdom, the Ostraka Festival in Cairo, Egypt and an exhibition at the Egyptian Opera House in Cairo, Egypt.
2019 He participated in an exhibition with artist Jalal Alwan and artist Alaa Jimaa at Art Hill Gallery in London, United States.
He lives as a freelance artist in London, United Kingdom.

15 ديسمبر 1960 وُلد الفنان جلال علوان في منطقة كمب الكيلاني في العاصمة بغداد، العراق.
1967 - 1977 أكمل دراسته المدرسية للابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية في بغداد.
1984 – 1988 درس وتخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وحاز على شهادة في السيراميك.
هاجر إلى خارج العراق منذ بداية التسعينات.
1995 واقام معرض شخصي في كاليري كادر لوواردن في هولندا.
1997 اشترك في معرض ICO Galerie Assen ومونديال كونستويتلين في ماستريخت ومعرض Stadhuis Weert في هولندا ومعرض في كاليري بابل آرت في فرنسا.
1998 اشترك في معرض Oosterhout “ALL ART” في هولندا.
2000 اقام معرض شخصي في CC Heist-O / D-berg في أنتويرب، بلجيكا واشترك في Delft World Art في هولندا ومعرض بونهيدن ومعرض بورنيم ومعرض بور ومعرض ويلبروك في أنتويرب، بلجيكا.
2001 اقام معرض شخصي في كاليري تريس للفنون في بريدا وزيفينبيرجن، هولندا واشترك في معرض مركز الفنون في جرونينجن، هولندا.
2001 – 2009 اشترك في معرض المنظمة السنوية "فن على الوقواق" في إتن-لور في هولندا.
2002 اشترك في معرض موسيون في لاهاي، هولندا ومعرض بريدا "توبوليس" في هولندا.
2002 – 2003 اشترك في معرض "ثيو كويجبرز و تريس آرت" في كاتشيفيل وبريدا، هولندا.
2004 اشترك في معرض في متحف روتردام العالمي في هولندا.
2006 اقام معرض شخصي في كاليري تريس للفنون في بريدا وزيفينبيرجن، هولندا واشترك في بينالي القاهرة الدولي العاشر في مصر.
2007 اشترك في معرض كاليري دي بيكويف في أولفينهوت، هولندا.
2008 – 2011 اشترك في معرض كاليري دي لارو في ميرل، بلجيكا.
2009 اقام معرض شخصي في كاليري ديجافو في سون، ، هولندا ومعرض شخصي في كاليري Gee'71 في جيرفليت، هولندا واشترك في معرض أرتيجيان في كاتشيفيل، هولندا.
2011 اشترك في معرض "اجتياز الفن" في بيلتهوفن، هولندا.
2012 أكمل دراسته للفنون البصرية المعاصرة في الأكاديمية الملكية للفنون في لاهاي، هولندا واشترك في معرض خريجي الأكاديمية الملكية للفنون في لاهاي ومعرض الفنون "الاثاث: الفن والتصميم" في تورنهاوت، بلجيكا. كما انه حاضر في اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
2013 – 2015 عمل كمنظم فني في المركز الثقافي العراقي في لندن حيث أشرف على أفكار المعجبين بالفن وقام بتحويلها إلى أعمال فنية خاصة بهم.
2014 اشترك في معرض "سوق! فن معاصر من العالم العربي" في أمستردام، هولندا ومعرض "التصلب" في كاليري P21 في لندن، المملكة المتحدة.
2015 اشترك في معرض اليوبيل "اختيار آن بيرك" في أمستردام، هولندا ومعرض في جمعية نوتنغهام للفنون في المملكة المتحدة كما انه حاضر في اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
2017 اشترك في المعرض الفني السنوي لجمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين في لندن، المملكة المتحدة ومهرجان أوستراكا في القاهرة، مصر ومعرض في دار الأوبرا المصرية في القاهرة، مصر.
2019 اشترك في معرض مع الفنان جلال علوان والفنان علاء جمعة في كاليري آرت هيل في لندن، الولايات المتحدة.
