1942 Born in Baghdad, Iraq.
He received a diploma in the Fine Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts.
He completed a training course in Islamic ornamentation in Turkey.
1969 Held a solo exhibition, North Yemen.
1970 Held a solo exhibition, Aden, Yemen.
1979 Held a solo exhibition at the Fay Gallery, Salmiya, Kuwait.
1980 Held a solo exhibition at the Fay Gallery, Salmiya, Kuwait.
1981 Held a solo exhibition, Kuwait.
He held a solo exhibition, Jordan.
He participated in most group exhibitions of Iraqi artists, both within Iraq and abroad.
2013 Passed away at seventy-one years old.
2014 A retrospective exhibition was held for him, featuring more than 50 works characterized by the realism that Al-Hashimi consistently employed to convey his ideas easily to the public.
He painted scenes of the Iraqi environment, such as the traditional houses, doors, domes, and everyday elements of Baghdad, a practice he maintained from his early career until his passing.
