Here we stand contemplating one of the paintings of the pioneering teacher who dedicated himself to drawing and teaching since the beginning of the twentieth century. By the beginning of 1920, he devoted himself entirely to art between gaining experience and knowledge of the arts of other nations and learning and teaching, where hundreds of Mosul people studied techniques and arts of drawing and loved them. Just as Abdul Qadir Al-Rassam was a teacher and a professional in Baghdad and the south, Asim was a teacher and a professional in Mosul, the capital of northern Iraq and the second city there. This painting is about eighty years old and hung on Iraqi houses' walls for eighty summers and winters. It is an example and a lesson about the impact of time and the succession of days.
