Dr. Akram Fadel wrote in his book "Al-Tabi’a wal Hayat al-Samita’ (Nature and Still Life)" about the artist Asem Hafidh: “His colors are so amazingly vivid. If you look at the basket and the apples rolling from it, you will not believe it is made of a material other than straw and watercolors. And this apple seems almost fragrant because of its transparency. Finally, you feel the artist extinguishes himself from all he paints”.
