1955 Born in Iraq.
1962 - 1972 Completed his primary, middle, and secondary school studies.
1978 - 1982 Studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a BA in Fine Arts and Graphics.
1978 - 2009 Worked for the Iraqi Ministry of Culture and Information in Baghdad.
1981 Held a solo exhibition at the Iraqi Ministry of Youth in Baghdad, and participated in the Youth Cadres Exhibition, and won the prize for the best artwork.
He obtained a master's degree, which was on the subject of "Methods of Teaching the Arts," and the title of his thesis was ‘An Educational Program for the Development of Fine Art Appreciation’, Baghdad.
1997 - 1999 Appointed Head of the Decoration Department at the Engineering Institute, Benghazi, Libya.
1998 Held a solo exhibition in Libya.
2000 - 2009 Worked as a lecturer in the painting department at the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad.
2005 - 2007 Appointed Director of Relations and Information in the House of Cultural Affairs of the Iraqi Ministry of Culture.
2007 - 2009 Appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Cultural Encyclopedia at the Cultural Affairs House at the Ministry of Culture.
2009 - 2011 Worked at the United Nations in the Psychological Support Department, which followed the psychological situation of Iraqi immigrants in Damascus. He was appointed as a teacher to teach music, specifically oud, in the same organization.
He obtained a doctorate in fine arts in Hamilton, Canada; his thesis was on ‘The Mechanism of Contemporary Criticism between Artistic Appreciation and Perception in Iraqi Fine Art’.
2012 Wrote a book entitled ‘Development of Fine Art Appreciation’. The book was published by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Human Development in Abu Dhabi, consisting of four chapters.
2013 Won the Art Council Prize in Painting, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
2015 Held a solo exhibition at Latitude 53, Edmonton, exhibiting 40 artworks.
2017 Eight of his artworks were selected by the Canadian Edmonton Committee as a gift to Edmonton retirees.
2018 Fourteen of his artworks were selected by the Canadian Edmonton Committee as Christmas gifts to Edmonton retirees.
He wrote several critical and artistic articles on art and culture in several Iraqi, Arab, and international newspapers, magazines, and websites.
He lives in Canada full-time and teaches drawing at the ‘Action for Healthy Communities’ Agency in Edmonton, Canada.
He is the officer of the Iraqi Artists and Writers Association in Edmonton, Canada.
Member of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association.
Member of the Iraqi Fine Artists Syndicate.
Member of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.
Member of the Iraqi Writers Union.
Member of the Broadcasters Union.

- 1955 وُلد الفنان في العراق.

- 1962 - 1972 أكمل دراسته الابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية.

- 1978 – 1982 درس وتخرج من أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وحاز على شهادة البكالوريوس في الفنون التشكيلية والكرافيك.

- 1978 – 2009 عمل في وزارة الثقافة والإعلام العراقية في بغداد.

- 1981 أقام معرضاً شخصياً في وزارة الشباب العراقية، بغداد واشترك في معرض كوادر شباب القطر وفاز بجائزة أفضل عمل فني.

- 1997 – 1999 تم تعيينه رئيس قسم الديكور والزخرفة في المعهد الهندسي في بنغازي، ليبيا.

- 1998 أقام معرضاً شخصياً في ليبيا.

- 2000 – 2009 عمل محاضراً في قسم الرسم في معهد الفنون الجميلة، بغداد.

- 2005 – 2007 عُين مديراً للعلاقات والإعلام في دار الشؤون الثقافية التابعة لوزارة الثقافة العراقية.

- 2007 – 2009 عُين مديراً لتحرير الموسوعة الثقافية في دار الشؤون الثقافية في وزارة الثقافة.

- 2009 – 2011 عمل في الأمم المتحدة في قسم الدعم النفسي الذي يتابع وضع المهاجرين العراقيين النفسية في دمشق وعُين مدرساً لتعليم الموسيقى على آلة العود في نفس المنظمة.

- حاز على شهادة الدكتوراه في الفنون التشكيلية في مدينة هاميلتون، كندا وكانت أطروحته عن "آلية النقد المعاصر بين التذوق الفني والإدراك الحسي في الفن التشكيلي العراقي".

- 2012 ألف كتاباً من أربعة فصول بعنوان "تنمية التذوق الفني التشكيلي" وتم نشره من قبل وزارة الثقافة والشباب والتنمية البشرية في أبو ظبي.

- 2013 فاز بجائزة Art Council في الرسم في أدمونتون عاصمة مقاطعة ألبرتا، كندا.

- 2015 أقام معرضاً شخصياً على قاعة Latitude 53 في أدمونتون وعرض فيه 40 عملاً فنياً.

- 2017 تم اختيار ثمانية من أعماله من قبل لجنة أدمونتون الكندية لإهدائها إلى متقاعدي أدمونتون.

- 2018 تم اختيار أربعة عشر عملاً من أعماله بمناسبة عيد الكريسماس من قبل لجنة أدمونتون الكندية لغرض منحها إلى متقاعدي أدمونتون.

- كتب عدة مقالات نقدية وفنية في مجال الفن والثقافة في عدة صحف ومجلات ومواقع إلكترونية عراقية وعربية ودولية.

- يسكن في كندا متفرغاً للفن، ويدرس فن الرسم في وكالة "العمل من أجل مجتمعات صحية" في أدمونتون، كندا.

- مسؤول رابطة الفنانين والأدباء العراقيين في أدمونتون، كندا.

- عضو في جمعية التشكيليين العراقيين.

- عضو في نقابة الفنانين العراقيين.
