1945 Born in Al-Karkh - Baghdad - Iraq. His innate talent for practicing sculpturing on stone began early.
1974 - 2001 Worked as Storekeeper of the Museum Collection at the Art Center. And received several courses in the maintenance and restoration of artworks by European experts in Baghdad within the framework of cultural cooperation agreements between Iraq, Italy, France, and others.
The Founder and head of the Restoration Division at the National Museum of Modern Art “Gulbenkian Building” in Baghdad since the seventies. He worked closely with Nazar Selim, Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani, and Ismail Al-Cheikhli, whom they managed the Arts Department in the Ministry of Culture in Iraq. Then worked with the artist Laila Al-Attar who was the manager of the Art Center, and with the artist Amer Al-Obaidi when he was the director of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad.
1974 Participated in the Al-Wasiti art symposium with some of his sculptures.
1980 Held his first solo sculpture exhibition.
1980 Received an intense training course for artworks maintenance and restoration under the supervision of Italian experts at the “Regional Center for Restoration of Cultural Property”.
1983 Received an intense training course in a textile maintenance course at the “Regional Center for Restoration of Cultural Property”.
An expert for fifty years in Iraqi artwork owned by government institutions and worked with many entities to examine and document the artworks.
An expert in examining and documenting artworks at the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association. He worked in dozens of governmental committees and had opinions about many issues related to the artworks of pioneer and sixties generation artists.
He currently lives in the Al-Jihad neighborhood in Baghdad and works in his studio within the building of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association in the Al-Mansour district in Baghdad.
