1920 Artist Naseer Chaura was born in the capital, Damascus, Syria.
His parents wanted him to study medicine, but he wanted to study art. This is what he ended up doing instead.
1938 He held his first solo exhibition at the Damascus Officers Club.
1939 He traveled to Italy to study there, but soon the Second World War broke out and he had to return to Syria.
1943 He traveled to Cairo to study at the School of Fine Arts.
1947 He graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Cairo. Then, he studied oil painting, upon his return to Syria, at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus.
1950 – 1951 He traveled to France and Italy to discover European art movements and then returned to study at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus.
He may be considered as the pioneer of the impressionist style within Syrian Modern art.
1953 He participated in an exhibition at the National Museum in Damascus and won first prize.
1954 He won first prize for photography.
1970 He was appointed an agent for the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus.
1982 He was awarded the Syrian Arab Order of Merit.
1984 A comprehensive exhibition was held for him at Ebla Art Gallery in Damascus.
1990 He participated in the international Exhibition of Landscape Art in the Czech Republic.
-1992 The artist passed away at Damascus at the age of seventy-two years.

1920 ولد الفنان نصير شورى في العاصمة دمشق في سوريا.
كان والديه يريدون ان يدرس ابنهم الطب ولكن كان الفنان يرغب بدراسة الفن وهذا ما فعل.
1938 اقام اول معرض شخصي له في نادي ضباط دمشق.
1939 سافر الفنان الى ايطاليا ليدرس فيها لكن سرعان ما نشبت الحرب العالمية الثانية فاضطر الرجوع الى سوريا.
1943 سافر الى القاهرة للدراسة في مدرسة الفنون الجميلة.
1947 تخرج من مدرسة الفنون الجميلة في القاهرة ودرس التصوير الزيتي عند رجوعه لسوريا في كلية الفنون الجميلة في دمشق.
1950 – 1951 سافر إلى فرنسا وايطاليا لاكتشاف الحركات الفنية الأوروبية وعاد بعدها ليُدَّرس في كلية الفنون الجميلة في دمشق.
يعتبر رائد المدرسة الانطباعية في سوريا.
1953 اشترك في معرض في المتحف الوطني في دمشق وحاز على الجائزة الأولى.
1954 حاز على الجائزة الاولى للتصوير.
1970 تم تعينه وكيل لكلية الفنون الجميلة في دمشق.
1982 نال على وسام الاستحقاق العربي السوري.
1984 اقيم له معرض شامل على صالة إيبلا للفنون في دمشق.
1990 اشترك في المعرض الدولي للرسم عن الطبيعة في التشيك.
1992 توفى الفنان في دمشق عن عمر يناهز الاثنان وسبعون عاماً
