1975 Artist Baqer Al-Shaikh was born in Baghdad, Iraq.
1982 - 1992 He completed his primary, intermediate and secondary school studies in Baghdad.
1992 - 1996 He studied and graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad and obtained a diploma.
2004 - 2008 He studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and obtained a bachelor's degree in arts, majoring in drawing.
2008 He held a solo exhibition entitled "Body Memory" and participated in the Ishtar Festival of the Iraqi Artists Association and won its prize.
2010 He participated in the exhibition "Contemporary Iraqi Art" at the UNESCO Hall in Beirut, Lebanon, and an artistic symposium in Beirut.
2011 He participated in an exhibition at Hiwar Hall in Baghdad.
2012 He held a solo exhibition at Dar Al Anda in Amman, Jordan.
2013 He participated in the first Arab Plastic Art Festival at Ishtar Hall in the National Library in Amman, Jordan.
2019 He participated in the exhibition "Contemporary Artists from Iraq" at Ras Al-Ain Gallery in Amman, Jordan, Norrbotten Foajen Gallery, Luleå Art Exhibition and Gällivare Art Exhibition.
He works full time in art in Gällivare, Sweden.

Member of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Syndicate.

1975 وُلد الفنان باقر الشيخ في العاصمة بغداد، العراق.
1982 - 1992 أكمل دراسته المدرسية للابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية في بغداد.
1992 - 1996 درس وتخرج من معهد الفنون الجميلة في بغداد وحاز على شهادة الدبلوم.
2004 - 2008 درس وتخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وحاز على شهادة البكلوريوس في الفنون اختصاص رسم حر.
2008 اقام معرض شخصي بعنوان "ذاكرة الجسد" واشترك في مهرجان عشتار لنقابة الفنانين العراقيين وفاز بجائزته.
2010 اشترك في معرض "الفن العراقي المعاصر" على قاعة اليونسكو في بيروت، لبنان وندوة فنية في بيروت.
2011 اشترك في معرض على قاعة حوار في بغداد.
2012 اقام معرض شخصي في دار الأندى في عمان، الاردن.
2013 اشترك في مهرجان الفن التشكيلي العربي الاول على قاعة عشتار في المكتبة الوطنية في عمان، الاردن.
2019 اشترك في معرض "تشكيليون معاصرون من العراق" في كاليري رأس العين في عمان، الاردن ومعرض كاليري نوربوتين فوجين ومعرض لوليا للفن ومعرض جاليفر للفن.
