  • 1921 He was born in Baghdad.
  • 1939 He studied architecture at Liverpool School in England, but soon returned to Baghdad, due to the outbreak of the Second World War.
  • 1941 Founding member of the Society of Friends of Art and participated in its first exhibition, and continued to practice painting until later periods of his life; he is one of the pioneers of the Iraqi plastic movement and one of its most prominent supporters.
  • 1949 After the end of the Second World War, he joined again at Liverpool School in England to complete his studies.
  • In the early fifties, he began writing regular articles in the magazine "Ahl al-Naftt", which was published in Kirkuk.
  • Joined to work as a teacher at the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad.
  • He worked as an architect in the Ministry of Social Affairs for a long time and supervised many projects of the Ministry and resigned from his job in 1963.
  • 1965, along with architects Muhammad Makiya and Henry Azvoboda, he founded the Al-Wasiti Gallery in Baghdad, which was managed by Dia Azzawi for a short period and held many important plastic exhibitions in the sixties.
  • He joined the engineering consultancy office of his brother, the architect Medhat Ali Mazloum, and then established his own office at the end of the sixties.
  • He designed several important buildings in Iraq, including: People's Hospital (1960), Al-Haidari Hospital (1961), and the Central Bank in Mosul and Basra (1967). And the National Center for Computers (1971), and he also designed the College of Dentistry in the Bab Al-Moadham Medical Complex in Baghdad (1969), and he is also the designer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1975), whose architecture was considered “Zakuriyya” one of the icons of the visual city of Baghdad.
  • He left his homeland Iraq in the early eighties, to settle in Britain.
  • 2017 He passed away at the age of 96 in Britain. His collection of artworks that he acquired or gifted to him from the pioneers of Iraqi formation has gained historical importance due to his contemporary and his close friendship with them.

  • 1921 ولد سعيد علي مظلوم في بغداد.
  • 1939 درس العمارة في مدرسة ليفربول بإنكلترا، لكنه سرعان ما عاد إلى بغداد، بسبب نشوب الحرب العالمية الثانية.
  • 1941 عضو مؤسس في جمعية أصدقاء الفن وشارك في معرضها الأول.
  • 1949 تخرج بدرجة البكالوريوس من مدرسة ليفربول بإنكلترا.
  • في مطلع الخمسينيات، بدأ كتابة مقالات منتظمة في مجلة "أهل النفط"، والتي صدرت في كركوك.
  • التحق للعمل مدرّساً في كلية الهندسة في جامعة بغداد.
  • عمل في وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية لفترة طويلة واستقال منها سنة 1963.
  • 1965 أسس مع المعماريين محمد مكية وهنري زفبودا غاليري الواسطي في بغداد.
  • انضم إلى مكتب أخيه مدحت، ثم أسس لنفسه مكتبا خاصاً به في نهاية الستينات.
  • صمم عدة مبانٍ مهمة في العراق منها: مستشفى الشعب (1960)، ومستشفى الحيدري (1961)، والبنك المركزي في الموصل وفي البصرة (1967) مع د.مكية وزفوبودا، والمركز القومي للحاسبات الإلكترونية (1971)، كما صمم كلية طب الأسنان في المجمع الطبي بباب المعظم ببغداد (1969)،  ومبنى وزارة الخارجية (1975) التي اعتبرت هيئة عمارتها "الزقورية" إحدى إيقونات مدينة بغداد البصرية.
  • غادر وطنه العراق في بداية التسعينات، ليستقر في بريطانيا.
  • 2017 توفي عن عمر يناهز السادسة وتسعين عاماً.
