1966 Artist Hussein Al-Tai was born in Baghdad, Iraq.
1973 – 1983 Completed his primary, middle and high school studies in Baghdad, Iraq.
1985 - 1992 He graduated from the Academy of Fine Art, Baghdad University in Iraq.
2005 - 2006 He studied graphics at The Higher School of Art in Holbæk, Denmark.
2007 He was awarded The Erik Hoffmeyer's Scholarship (The Danish National Bank).
2013 – 2015 He obtained a master’s degree in Fine Art at The National College of Art & Design in Dublin, Ireland. In addition, he was a visiting Graphics professor at the Higher School of Arts in Holbæk, Denmark.
He moved between many cities in the east and west, which deepened his artistic experience, developed his communication with various societies, and gave his experience a diversity and foundations for an open and cross-border aesthetic view. He resided in some of them for different times, such as Baghdad, Tripoli, Amman, the Danish island of Bornholm, Copenhagen, Dublin, Paris, and others.
He held several solo exhibitions and participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
Member of the Iraqi Plastic Artists Association.
Member of Billedkunstnernes forbund (BKF).
Member of the Danish Graphic Association.
Representative of several museums and institutions inside and outside of Iraq.
He tends to pure abstraction in his art. He produced many art books and paintings, specialized in print arts.
His works are displayed in some international museums, art institutions and private collections in Arab and foreign countries.
