  • 1947 Born in Suwayrah city in Wasit Governorate, Iraq.
  • 1954 - 1964 Completed his elementary, middle, and secondary school studies in Mosul.
  • 1964 - 1969 Studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
  • 1973 Participated in the posters exhibition, Baghdad.
  • 1974 Participated in the first Arab Biennial exhibition, Baghdad.
  • 1977 Participated in the 4th April Exhibition at the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art, Baghdad.
  • 1984 Participated in the first annual Eid exhibition at Al-Orfali Hall, Baghdad.
  • 1987 Participated in the fourth annual summer fair at Al-Orfali hall, Baghdad.
  • 1989 Held his 2nd solo exhibition at Al-Orfali Hall, Baghdad, in which he exhibited more than 20 artworks.
  • 1990 Participated in the seventh annual summer fair at Al-Orfali hall, Baghdad.
  • 1992 Participated in the exhibition ‘5 Friends’ at Al-Orfali Hall, Baghdad.
  • 1995 Participated in the exhibition commemorating the founding of the second hall at Al-Orfali Hall, Baghdad.
  • He worked as a teacher of drawing at the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad and continued teaching until his passing.
  • He designed and executed the mural ‘Al-Tamim’ on the airport road, but it was removed after 2003.
  • He held several solo exhibitions and participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
  • 2000 Passed away at fifty-three years old in Iraq.

  • 1947 وُلد الفنان نزار الهنداوي في مدينة الصويرة في محافظة واسط في العراق.
  • 1954 - 1964 أكمل دراسته المدرسية للابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية في الموصل.
  • 1964 – 1969 درس وتخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.
  • 1973 اشترك في معرض البوسترات في بغداد.
  • 1974 اشترك في معرض السنتين العربي الاول في بغداد.
  • 1977 اشترك في معرض الحزب الرابع على قاعة المتحف الوطني للفن الحديث في بغداد.
  • 1984 اشترك في معرض العيد السنوي الاول على قاعة الاورفلي في بغداد.
  • 1987 اشترك في معرص الصيف السنوي الرابع على قاعة الاورفلي في بغداد.
  • 1989 اقام معرضه الشخصي الثاني على قاعة الاورفلي في بغداد وعرض فيه أكثر من 20 عمل فني.
  • 1990 اشترك في معرص الصيف السنوي السابع على قاعة الاورفلي في بغداد.
  • 1992 اشترك في معرض "5 اصدقاء" على قاعة الاورفلي في بغداد.
  • 1995 اشترك في معرض ذكرى تأسيس القاعة الثاني على قاعة الاورفلي في بغداد.
  • عمل مدرس لفن الرسم في اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وبقي مستمرا في عمله التدريسي لحين وفاته.
  • صمم ونفذ جدارية "التأميم" على طريق المطار ولكن تم ازالتها بعد عام 2003.
  • اقام عدة معارض شخصية واشترك في الكثير من المعارض الفنية داخل وخارج العراق.
  • 2000 توفي الفنان عن عمر يناهز الثلاثة وخمسون عاماً في العراق.
  • عضو في جمعية التشكيليين العراقيين.
  • عضو في نقابة الفنانين العراقيين.
