1954 Born in Baghdad, Iraq. She is the wife of the artist, Mahood Ahmad.
1960-1970 Completed her elementary, middle, and high school studies in Baghdad.
1968 Held her 1st solo exhibition while she was in middle school at the age of fourteen, Baghdad, and she won the 1st school prize from the Directorate of Education in Al-Karkh District.
1975 Studied design at a London institute in the UK and won a school prize for planning and color during her high school studies in London.
1976 Participated in an exhibition at the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art, Baghdad, and displayed 1 work.
1976-1980 Appointed as an interior designer and illustrator at Baghdad Television.
1978-1981 Obtained a BA from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
1981-1990 Appointed Professor at the Institute of Fine Arts, Baghdad.
1985-1987 Applied for a master's degree, completed her requirements, and obtained it from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad on the subject of Philosophy of Islamic Image-Making Art.
1988 Participated in the Baghdad International Biennial at the Arts Center, Baghdad.
1996 Obtained a PhD in Philosophy of Art History from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad.
1998 Participated in the 2nd Conference of Contemporary Art entitled ‘In the Period After Formation’ at Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan, and the exhibition of Iraqi women artists (14 artists) at the Arts Center, Baghdad.
2000 Wrote and published a book entitled ‘Creation of and Fine and Aesthetic Elements in Al-Wasiti's Miniatures’.
2002 Held a solo exhibition entitled ‘From Baghdad to Baghdad: Visual Visions’ at Al-Orfali Gallery, Baghdad, and participated in the Baghdad International Biennial and the 7th Sousse International Conference for Creative Women, Sousse, Tunisia.
2007 Wrote a book called ‘Abstract Realism’.
2008 Held a solo exhibition entitled "Oasis of Love" at Broadway Gallery, Amman, Jordan.
2012 Wrote a book entitled ‘The Structure of Creation in the Miniatures of the Hariri Maqamat by Al-Mazouq Al-Wasiti’ and a book entitled ‘Wasma Al-Agha: An Artist from the Rasheed Era’, published by Dar Al-Adeeb in Amman.
2015 Passed away on 9 May at sixty-one years old in Amman after going into a coma due to a terminal illness.

- 1960 – 1970 أكملت دراستها الابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية في بغداد.

- 1968 أقيم أول معرض شخصي لها وهي في مرحلة الأول متوسط بعمر الرابعة عشر في بغداد وفازت بالجائزة المدرسية الأولى لمديرية تربية منطقة الكرخ.

- 1975 درست التصميم في أحد معاهد لندن-المملكة المتحدة، وفازت بجائزة مدرسية للتخطيط والألوان أثناء فترة دراستها في المرحلة الثانوية في لندن، المملكة المتحدة.

- 1976 اشتركت في معرض المتحف الوطني للفن الحديث في بغداد وعرضت عملاً واحداً.

- 1976 – 1980 تم تعيينها مصممة للديكور ورسامة في تلفزيون بغداد.

- 1978 – 1981 درست وتخرجت من أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد وحازت على شهادة البكالوريوس.

- 1981 – 1990 تم تعيينها أُستاذة في معهد الفنون الجميلة في بغداد.

- 1985 – 1987 تقدمت لدراسة الماجستير، أكملت متطلباتها وحصلت عليها من أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد في فلسفة فن التصوير الإسلامي.

- 1988 اشتركت في بينالي بغداد الدولي في مركز صدام للفنون في بغداد.

- 1996 حازت على شهادة الدكتوراه في فلسفة تاريخ الفن من أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جامعة بغداد.

- 1998 اشتركت في المؤتمر الثاني للفن المعاصر بعنوان "في فترة ما بعد التشكل" في جامعة اليرموك في إربد، الأردن ومعرض الفنانات العراقيات (14 فنانة) في مركز صدام للفنون في بغداد.

- 2000 ألّفت وأصدرت كتاب بعنوان "التكوين وعناصره التشكيلية والجمالية في منمنمات الواسطي".

- 2002 أقامت معرض شخصي بعنوان "من بغداد إلى بغداد...رؤى بصرية" على قاعة الأورفلي في بغداد، واشتركت في بينالي بغداد الدولي في بغداد ومؤتمر سوسة الدولي السابع للمبدعات في سوسة، تونس.

- 2007 ألّفت كتاب بعنوان "الواقعية التجريدية".

- 2008 أقامت معرض شخصي بعنوان "واحات الوجد" على قاعة برودوي في عمان، الأردن.

- 2012 ألّفت كتاب بعنوان "هيكلية التكوين في منمنمات مقامات الحريري للمزوق الواسطي" وكتاب بعنوان "وسماء الآغا.. فنانة من عصر الرشيد" وتم نشرهم من قبل دار الأديب في عمان.

- 9 أيار 2015 توفيت الفنانة عن عمر يناهز الواحد وستين عاماً في عمان بعد دخولها في غيبوبة إثر مرض عضال.

- عضوة في جمعية الفنانين التشكيليين العراقيين.

- عضوة في نقابة الفنانين العراقيين.
