1957 - 1967 Completed his primary, middle, and secondary school studies in Erbil.
1970 - 1974 Studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad.
He taught art in several schools in Erbil for more than thirty years, worked in several magazines specialized in children, and headed the ‘Aswi Mindalan’ magazine.
1991 / 1992 Founded, along with other artists, the Institute of Fine Arts in Erbil.
2004 Appointed as the Supervisor of Art Education in the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
2006 Participated in the first fine arts festival - the seventh session at Duhok Gallery, Duhok, Iraq.
2016 Held his 18th solo exhibition at the Directorate of Fine Arts, Erbil.
He held several solo exhibitions and participated in many art exhibitions inside and outside Iraq.
He lives and works full-time for art in Erbil, northern Iraq.

1950 وُلد الفنان دارا محمد علي في مدينة اربيل شمال العراق.
1957 - 1967 أكمل دراسته المدرسية للابتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية في مدينة أربيل.
1970 – 1974 درس وتخرج من اكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في بغداد.
دَرّسَ الفن في عدة مدارس في اربيل لأكثر من ثلاثين عام وعمل في عدة مجلات متخصصة للاطفال وترأس مجلة "أسوي ميندلان".
1991 / 1992 أسس مع فنانين اخرين معهد الفنون الجميلة في اربيل.
2004 تم تعيينه مشرف تعليم الفنون في وزارة التربية والتعليم لحكومة إقليم كردستان.
2006 اشترك في مهرجان الفن التشكيلي الاول - الدورة السابعة في كاليري دهوك في دهوك في العراق.
2016 اقام معرضه الشخصي الثامن عشر في مديرية الفنون الجميلة في اربيل.
اقام عدة معارض شخصية واشترك في الكثير من المعارض الفنية داخل وخارج العراق.
