1937 Born in Muqdadiya City in Diyala Province, Iraq.
1960s Graduated from high school and was sent to study in Moscow, Russia.
He obtained his doctorate in ‘Philosophy of Mural Art Sciences’ from Moscow, Russia.
Worked as a professor at the Institute of Fine Arts upon his return to Baghdad, Iraq.
Worked as a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Presented numerous studies in fine art, including ‘The History of Ancient Art’ with Dr. Salman Issa Al-Khattat.
His most important publications are ‘The Role of Mural Art in the National Liberation Movement’, ‘Metal Casting in the Arts of Mesopotamia’, and ‘Historical Artistic Sources of Mural Art’, as mentioned in the Russia Today newspaper.
1980s Arrested for his opposition to the regime.
1983 Executed at forty-six years old for political reasons.
2012 A retrospective exhibition was organized by his wife, Rafah Al-Imami, at Akkad Gallery, Baghdad.
Member of the Iraqi Fine Artists Association.
Member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate.
Member of the Neo-Realist Group.

- 1937 وُلدَ الفنان في مدينة المقدادية في محافظة ديالى العراقية.

- أنهى المدرسة الثانوية ثمّ ابتُعث للدراسة في موسكو، روسيا في مَطلع الستينيات من القرن الماضي.

- حصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في "فلسفة علوم فنّ الجداريات" من موسكو، روسيا.

- لدى عودته إلى بغداد عمل أستاذاً في معهد الفنون الجميلة.

- قدَّم دراسات عديدة في الفنّ التشكيلي، منها: "تاريخ الفنّ القديم" بالاشتراك مع الدكتور سلمان عيسى الخطاط، ومن أهم مؤلَّفاته "دور الفنّ الجداري في حركة التحرُّر الوطني"، "سباكة المعادن في فنون وادي الرافدين" و"المنابع الفنّية التاريخية للفنّ الجداري" وفقاً لما نُشر بصحيفة روسيا اليوم.

- تم اعتقاله مطلع الثمانينيات لآرائه المعارضة للنظام.

- 1983 تمّ إعدامه لأسباب سياسية في سن الـسادسة والأربعين عاماً.

- عضو في جماعة الواقعية الجديدة.

- عضو في جمعيّة التشكيليين العراقيين.

- عضو في نقابة الفنّانين العراقيين.
