"صورت ليلى العطار في أكثر لوحاتها المرأة جسداً لا رأس له، جسداً عارياً منغرس الجذور لأرض خصبة ارتوت كثيراً من الماء، هذا الماء الذي لا يمكن ان تفصح عنه الفنانة علناً حتى ان تشبعت الجذور واصبحت جذوراً افقية وعمودية وانغرست كثيراً في الاحشاء التي لا نراها للوهلة الاولى، الجذور التي اجتازت املاح الروح لتقاوم عطش الصيف وعطش الليالي المتوهجة حباً كي تحفر الصخر ثم تغادر هذا المكان الصلب لتستقر في اعماق آهات الفنانة "
